The band announced last week it would be taking its current world tour to Australia in November – for one show only in Perth. It will be Coldplay’s first show in Australia since December 2016, when the British band played five stadium dates across those three cities. Perth fans were shut-out during the previous tour, but this time, through an arrangement between Live Nation and Tourism WA, they’ll be the only Aussies to see the band as part of the Music of The Spheres World Tour. Tickets are already being resold by buyers, with several posts appearing on social media in the hours after the online presale began. Ten News reporter Dougal Wallace said Ticketmaster had confirmed a whopping 300,000 people were waiting in the queue for tickets this morning. The figure marked a record for Australian online ticketing queues.
